There are two types of installs for TechIDManager in an Azure or EntraID tenant; Legacy or Linked. If you look at the agent options in the Management Console there might be an option named “Link” with a value of “Yes”. If this option is there it is a linked installation, if this option is not there, then this is a Legacy installation. Most installation before Jan 2025 were Legacy, most after Feb 2025 are Linked.

To remove a Legacy installation:
- Login to the azure tenant you want to remove TechIDManager from at portal.azure.com with a GA account.
- Go to “Resource groups”
- Find the resource group named “techidmgrXXXrg” where XXX is a number.
- Delete this resource group.
- Confirm the delete, this is Permanent.
- This will remove all ability for TechIDManager to make any changes in the tenant.
To remove a Linked installation:
- Login to the TechIDManager Management Console
- Go to “Agents”
- Find the agent you want to remove and click the “gear” icon
- Near the bottom of the page select “Delete Permanently”
- Confirm the delete, this is Permanent.
- This will remove all ability for TechIDManager to make any changes in the tenant.
- Login to the azure tenant you want to remove TechIDManager from at portal.azure.com with a GA account.
- Go to “App registrations”
- Find any registrations name “TechIDManager.EntraID.Secondary” and delete them.
