Here are some simple instructions on how to setup a Pay-As-You-Go subscription in an Azure, Entra ID, O365 tenant. Please understand that Microsoft is always changing the details of this workflow, and this how-to is meant to get you going in the right direction, even if what you see is a little different.
This is needed to run TechIDManager for Azure. You do have to put in some payment information, like a credit card (CC). We have seen many options for this from company CC with spending limits, to Visa Gift cards that people keep topped off, to distributer setup subscriptions. There are several choices, but we use our company CC and then setup spending alerts and limits in the Azure tenant.
Step 1. Open https://portal.azure.com and login
Step 2. Use the search bar at the top to find “Subscriptions” and click on “Subscriptions”
Step 3. Click “Add+” in the top left corner
Step 4. Choose “Pay-As-You-Go”
Step 5. Follow the instructions to setup payment and contact information for the subscription
