TechIDClient.Android 6.028

This is the first TechIDClient.Android 6.0 release. It supports read-only access to all Managed and User Credentials, and Just-In-Time enable/disable for tech accounts. Changes for this release include:

  1. Better UI
    1. Icons for account type
    2. ForcePasswordRotation added
    3. Faster scrolling
  2. Renamed from TechClient.Mobile to TechIDClient.Android
  3. This version requires a release of the TechIDClient for windows or mac and uses the “NEW Mobile Setup” (Requires Release TechIDClient 5.540 or newer). If you had the 4.0 version of TechClient.Mobile installed, you must re-setup (scan new QR Code in new TechIDClient) this version when you install it.

Download TechIDClient.Android 6.028 APK

This APK must be “sideloaded” on to an Android Device. To install it to an Android Device:

  1. Download the APK to your phone.
  2. Locate the file on your phone. The downloaded APKs can be found in the Downloads app or you can use a file manager to navigate to the Downloads folder.
  3. Tap on the file name to start the installation. If this is the first time you are installing an APK from that file manager, the Downloads app, or the web browser, Android will throw a warning and ask your permission to continue. Give the permission, and depending on the app from where you are installing the APK, you may have to tap back to get to the installer. In some apps, you’ll automatically be sent back to the installer.
  4. Tap on Install, and the application will be installed successfully unless there are compatibility issues.

To use the mobile app you must transfer the private key from a desktop TechClient to the mobile client. To setup the mobile app scan the QR code on the “Mobile” tab of a TechIDClient.Windows or TechIDClient.macOS.
