Deployment Examples

We suggest you look at these examples to understand the pricing, but you can also just scroll down to see pricing.

You are charged for only the places where you actually install an agent that creates/manages accounts and rotates credentials. Agents do not need to be installed on all machines in a domain or an Azure joined network. You can always use an unlimited number of techs with no additional charges.

Here are some examples to make it clear.

Use case Deployment Agent count
The first client has one domain controller, five local computers wired, and two laptops.

You want to have unique domain accounts for each tech to access all the computers, and on the two laptops you want local admin accounts for offline use.
You deploy a PAM agent to one domain controller, and use the domain accounts to access all the computers.

You deploy a LAPS agent to the two laptops to rotate the local Administrator password incase you need offline access to those laptops.

The second client has one domain controller, three other servers, and five laptop computers that are rarely connected to the network.

You want to have unique domain accounts for each tech to access all the computers and servers, and unique local accounts for each tech to access each laptop.

You are disabling all built-in local admin accounts on the laptops.
You deploy PAM agents to one domain controller

You deploy PAM agents to five local computers.
6 PAM agents
The third client only uses AzureAD.

You want to use unique AzureAD accounts for each tech to access everything.
You deploy one AzureAD agent to that tenant. 1 PAM agent
The fourth client has three domain controllers, a hybrid Azure tenant, and ten computers.

You want unique accounts for each tech to access everything.

You want to use LAPS to manage the local admin accounts on all computers.
You deploy a PAM agent to one domain controller.

The fifth client has no domain with four computers in a workgroup.

You want unique accounts for each tech on each computer.
