Cyber Melee Competition Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: August 1, 2025

1. Organizer

The “Cyber Melee” competition (“Competition”) is organized by TechIDManager, a product of Ruffian Software (“Organizer”).


2. Eligibility

  • Open to individuals aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.

  • Participants must have legal capacity to enter into agreements under applicable laws.

  • Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the Organizer or its affiliates are not eligible.


3. Registration & Entry

  • Entry occurs via completion of the official Registration Form.

  • The Competition will be scheduled once 25 or more contestants register.

  • Organizer reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Competition if minimum registration isn’t met.


4. Competition Format

  1. Round 1 – Qualifier

    • Conducted online.

    • Consists of 3 questions.

    • Completed at participants’ own pace within given guidelines (e.g., submission deadlines).

  2. Round 2 – Live Melee

    • Conducted virtually with all qualified contestants.

    • Comprises 7 questions answered in real-time.

    • Judging is live.

  • A panel of judges evaluates submissions; each judge assigns points per answer.


5. Scoring & Winner Selection

  • Each judge assesses responses independently and assigns points.

  • Total scores are computed by aggregating points across all judges.

  • The participant with the highest cumulative score is declared the Champion.

  • In the event of a tie, the Organizer may conduct a tiebreaker or determine the winner at its discretion.

  • Results will be announced within 48 hours following Round 2.


6. Prize

  • Champion Prize: A $1,000 Amazon gift card (“Prize”).

  • The prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.

  • Winners are responsible for any taxes or fees associated with the Prize.


7. Notification & Claiming the Prize

  • The winner will be notified using provided contact information, or email.

  • If the winner fails to respond within 14 days, the Organizer may select an alternate winner or void the prize at its discretion.


8. Rights Granted

  • By participating, entrants grant the Organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use their likeness, visual representation, submitted content, solution write-ups, or summaries for promotional or educational purposes.

  • Personal data collected will be processed in accordance with the Organizer’s Privacy Policy.


9. Disqualification & Right to Discontinue

  • Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant for:

    • Providing false information.

    • Cheating or violation of rules.

    • Disruptive or inappropriate behavior.

  • If unforeseen circumstances arise (e.g., technical issues, insufficient registrations), Organizer may modify, suspend, reschedule, or cancel the Competition.


10. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

  • Participants enter at their own risk. Organizer disclaims liability for losses or damages beyond its control.

  • No warranties (express or implied) are provided regarding Competition operations, platform functionality, or prize fulfillment.


11. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the state in which the Organizer is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.


12. Modifications

  • Organizer reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions, including competition rules or timelines, at any time without prior notice.

  • Continued participation constitutes acceptance of any such modifications.
