TechIDManager Unique Accounts

YouTube player

TechIDManager’s unique accounts approach means that every technician has their own individual account credentials for every system they access, across all the clients they support.

Instead of sharing a single set of admin credentials across a team—which is common but insecure—TechIDManager automatically creates, manages, and later disables distinct user accounts per tech, per system. This includes:

  • Entra ID (Azure AD)

  • Windows domains

  • Windows Workstations

  • macOS local accounts

Why it matters:

Security: If an account is compromised, it only affects one technician—not the entire team or client base.

Accountability: Actions are fully auditable and traceable to a specific individual.

Compliance: Many standards (HIPAA, PCI, CIS, etc.) require individual identities and audit trails, which TechIDManager enables automatically.

Automation: TechIDManager handles creation, permissioning, password rotation, and de-provisioning—removing manual work for MSPs
